Who We Are ? Shortly About Us
In 2011 Hennie and Talita Helberg heeded the call
from God and the community for a fellowship that would proclaim the true Word
and Love of God. The name Petra is derived from Matthew 16:18 when Jesus
referenced the word in saying: "....on this rock I will build my
church." This rock refers to the revelation of who Jesus is and we
endeavour to make Him the centre of everything we do and are.
At Petra Christian Family we have a passion for God
and people. We believe that the Good News about Jesus Christ, who died for all
mankind and rose from the dead to give each person the opportunity to have a
relationship with God, is the only hope for the broken world we live in.
Our Vision is contained in our name as an acronym:
Matt 28:19-20
